Does this sound like you? You have a passion for working with groups of children ages 5-14, and leading hands-on activity classes, camps, workshops, and events sounds awesome. You need part-time hours, mostly during the week plus the occasional Saturday. You are responsible, timely, comfortable working solo, and have access to a reliable car, truck, or SUV. You have had some experience working with groups of children, maybe as a camp counselor, church group leader, aftercare assistant, or something like that or you are pursuing a teaching degree. You enjoy STEAM concepts (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math). Mostly, you want to spend your time doing something meaningful, impactful, and fun, too. ENRICHMENT INSTRUCTOR
You would teach STEAM-based after-school classes building with LEGO® bricks and motors. You are available 2 to 5 days a week Monday through Friday for 2 to 3 hours in the afternoons between 2:00pm and 6:00pm during the school year at a different school or community center each day. You also have the option of working camps or workshops in the summer. You are available for a family public event booth once a month and have the option if you would like additional hours on weekends, school breaks, and at seasonal camps. TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR
You read the Enrichment Instructor description above and said to yourself, that sounds like me but I wish it could also include my interest in computers, coding, FIRST® LEGO® League, and/or robotics. Like an Enrichment Cyborg. Well, we call it Technology Instructor, but yes, you are in luck. You would be an instructor for our exciting Coding and Robotics programs, which introduce children to the world of computer programming, logic, and troubleshooting with hands-on building and programming of motorized models and autonomous robots with sensors, as well as video game design and stop-motion animation. In addition to everything described above under Enrichment Instructor, you are instead available a little later, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and you can lift and haul heavier 40lb totes. Interested?
